Steve Coburn Rants Over Fresh Horses in Belmont, Is It Fair ? [VIDEO] [POLL]

California Chrome's co-owner looks about as grumpy and grouchy as a guy could be, not sure I'd want to work for this guy but then again if the pay is right!

Steve Coburn says, "It's not fair to the other horses.'

A horse that has competed in all three races has been through the mill already and to put a fresh horse with fresh legs makes the run even harder.

I personally have to agree with Mr. Coburn, I think any horse that races in the Belmont should have raced in the Kentucky Derby and The Preakness. that ruling should be seriously looked into.

How much money was bet and lost due to this?

Steve Coburn, “You know what, if you’ve got a horse, run him in all three. If you’ve got a horse that earns points to run in the Kentucky Derby, those 20 horses that start the Kentucky are the only 20 eligible to run in all three races. This is the coward’s way out.”
