Wonder if this is true???

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler is the latest musician to slam the VH1 reality series Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew and its host, Dr. Drew Pinsky. According to Blabbermouth, Tyler writes in his new memoir that former Guns N' Roses drummer and Celebrity Rehab star Steven Adler was asked to fake his condition for the cameras. Tyler writes, "They wanted him to act out his own messed-up state when he entered rehab. It was ghoulish and unreal. They gave him 30 grand for the episode, he snorted it all, crashed his car, and he ended up in jail detox."

Tyler continues, "It didn't seem to me all that ethical using actual f***ed-up people like Steven Adler in a reality show, but who am I to say? Not to mention getting trashed celebrities to mime their own self-destructive nosedives which they then sensationalize on a melo-f***ing-dramatic reality show, which so traumatizes them they end up in worse shape than ever -- from the drugs they bought with the money from the show."

So in other words, he's saying that the entrants are perfectly fine when they come on the show but leave re-addicted when they're done? That's a nasty thought but I have to admit I'm among the camp that hasn't believed one second of "reality" TV has ever been real.

At the same time, I've also had the opportunity to interview Dr. Drew Pinsky: he's a sensational guest and I've always admired him and I hate the idea that he'd be involved with something like that for the sake of ratings.

Would you still watch the show if it were proven true?
