UNDATED - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several counties in central and western Minnesota, including Stearns, Todd, Kandiyohi and Douglas counties.  The watch is in effect until 10:00 p.m. tonight (Sunday).

The threat for severe weather will increase across western Minnesota this afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes into Minnesota from the Dakotas.

Damaging winds and large hail are the main severe weather threats there.

The storms are expected to gradually weaken as they approach eastern Minnesota and the Twin Cities late tonight.
