Sweathog Robert Hegyes Dies at 60 [VIDEO]

Former 'Welcome Back Kotter' star Robert Hegyes (who played Epstein on the hit show) died from a heart attack yesterday in New Jersey at the age of 60.

Hegyes brother said in a statement that Robert had suffered a heart attack several years ago so his health wasn't very good. You might also remember seeing Hegyes in NewsRadio, The Drew Carey Show, Diagnosis Murder, and Cagney and Lacey, just to name a few of his credentials.

If you happened to be one of the very few people who tuned in to watch the  'TV Land Awards' last year, then you got to see a rare reunion of of the Kotter cast mates. Robert Hegyes was joined by John Travolta, Gabe Kaplan, Laurence Hilton-Jacobs, Ellen Travolta and Marcia Strassman to accept the 35th anniversary award.
