Playoffs start on Friday night in Sauk Rapids with the Mason City Toros playing at 7:30pm

Not only did they sweep their weekend beating both Willmar and Alexandria, but the team also went shopping for Toys for Tots Sunday morning.

Gates at the Miller Buick GMC Arena open at 6:30 on Saturday night with the game scheduled to start at 7:30pm.

Get out and enjoy all the fun things happening in Central Minnesota this weekend. You can take in the Autumn Moon Festival with Constantine Maroulis, enjoy the folk music of John McCutcheon, hear some ragtime music with Alexander Sandor, sing along to the songs of Billy Joel at Pioneer Place, and hit the ice with the Granite City Lumberjacks. The Granite City Lumberjacks will open their season Saturday night. They're hosting the Alexandria Blizzard at 7:30 p.m. at Sports Arena East in Sauk Rapids.

The Granite City Lumberjacks topped the North Iowa Bulls 3-2 Sunday afternoon to win the NA3HL's Silver Cup. The Jacks advance to the USA Hockey Tier 3 Junior National Championship starting Friday in Simsbury, Connecticut.

There's more than one way to honor those who served our country, and the Granite City Lumberjacks are doing just that.

The Granite City Lumberjacks defeated Breezy Point 7-4 Sunday. Alex Koopmeiners scored 2 goals for the Lumberjacks. Granite City will play at Breezy Point Sunday January 13 at 4pm.

The Granite City Lumberjacks downed the Minnesota Flying Aces 7-2 Sunday at Exchange Area. Mathew Raiola, Nick Turbitt, and Aaron Storch each scored 1 goal and 1 assist for the Lumberjacks.

The Granite City Lumberjacks defeated The Steel in Junior Hockey Sunday. Zac Sikich had 3 goals and 2 assists,
