The St. Cloud Rox welcomed back fans to Joe Faber Field and earned their first win of the season, the Minnesota Lynx picked up a second straight win, the Twins got stomped by Kansas City, and post-season play continued for central Minnesota prep baseball and softball teams.

The Lynx were led by Sylvia Fowles, who scored 13 points and pulled down a WNBA finals record 17 rebounds. Minnesota led by as many as 20 points in the second half before narrowly earning the win.

Sylvia Fowles led the Lynx with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Seimone Augustus added 16 points in the win.

The Minnesota Lynx downed the Phoenix Mercury Sunday 72-71 to advance to the WNBA Finals. Minnesota wins the Western Conference Finals 2 games to none. Maya Moore led the Lynx with 40 points and 8 rebounds and Sylvia Fowles had 8 points and 14 rebounds.

The Lynx were in control for a majority of the game, but a fourth quarter run got LA within a point at 65-64 before Minnesota rattled off nine straight points to seal the win.

League MVP Maya Moore led the Lynx with 26 points, six rebounds and seven assists.
