Minnesota Timberwolves

On Wednesday the Wolves head to Houston to take on the Rockets. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m.

Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 21 points while also pulling down seven rebounds, while Ricky Rubio contributed 12 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.

Cavaliers Forward Kevin Love scored 20 point in his return to Target Center last (Friday) night as his team beat the Timberwolves 125-99. It's the fifth straight loss for the wolves, who have also lost nine of their last 10 games.

Minnesota falls to 12-24 with the loss and will host the Cleveland Cavaliers Friday night at Target Center. The game can be heard on AM 1240 WJON beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m.

Shabazz Muhammad led the Wolves with 20 points despite coming off of the bench, and Andrew Wiggins added 16 points in the loss. Ish Smith led the 76ers with 21 points.

The Timberwolves downed the Utah Jazz 94-80 Wednesday night at Target Center. Minnesota was led in scoring by Karl Anthony Towns with 25 points and 10 rebounds, Andrew Wiggins added 17 points and Ricky Rubio had 10 points and 17 assists.Trey Burke had 23 points for Utah.

The San Antonio Spurs continued their home dominance last (Monday) night with the 101-95 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves to improve to 18-0 at home.

The Timberwolves lost 113-99 at Boston against the Celtics Monday night. Minnesota was outscored 32-19 in the 3rd quarter after trailing by 7 at halftime. The Wolves were led in scoring by Andrew Wiggins with 26 points and Karl Anthony Towns added 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 24 points to lead the Wolves while also pulling down ten rebounds in the win. Backup center Gorgui Dieng added 20 points and ten rebounds off the bench for Minnesota.

Thanks to a huge night from Andrew Wiggins, the Wolves came away with a 99-95 win over the Sacramento Kings last (Friday) night at the Target Center. Wiggins finished with 32 points and perhaps more impressively 10 rebounds and six assists.

The Wolves trailed 60-40 at the half and had trouble getting going in the second game of a home-and-road back to back. However, the Wolves found a spark at the half and outscored the Knicks 30-18 in the third quarter.

The Wolves head to New York Wednesday to take on the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Pregame coverage on WJON begins at 6 p.m.
