The Twins downed Milwaukee 5-4 in 15 innings Sunday. Denard Span had the game-winning RBI single in the 15th inning to win in. Span was 4-8 with a run and 1 RBI on the day. Joe Mauer was 3-4 with 2 RBIs but left the game early with a bruised right quadriceps
The Twins called up first baseman Chris Parmelee from triple-A Rochester and sent righthander Cole DeVries to triple-A Rochester to make room for Parmelee. Parmelee was batting .375 with 4 homeruns and 12 RBIs at triple-A
MINNEAPOLIS – Twins Pitcher Jeff Manship wasn’t feeling the love from his own team last (Wednesday) night, when the jersey he was given had his last name spelled incorrectly.
Instead of “Manship”, it read “Mansihp”.

The Twins chose a pair of power arms in the 2nd round of the Major League Baseball draft Tuesday. They picked lefthander Mason Melotakis of Northwestern State in Louisiana at #63 overall. Melotakis projects as a late inning reliever that can throw 96 MPH
The Twins picked speedy outfielder Byron Buxton with the 2nd overall pick in the baseball entry draft Monday night. Buxton was considered by many to be the best prospect in the draft. Houston chose first and picked shortstop Carlos Correa
