During the game between the Vikings and Raiders yesterday, Minnesota defensive tackle Linval Joseph swore when the officials ruled a fumble as Oakland's ball. His unsavory language made it to the live broadcast of the game, and the Fox announcers had to apologize. (And I giggled because I'm an 8 year-old.)

It won't show up in any stat line -- and it didn't show up in the FOX broadcast of the Vikings' 30-14 win over Oakland, but one of the nicer stops of the day was made by Vikings safety Antone Exum Jr. on a fan who ran onto the field in the 4th quarter.

The Minnesota Vikings (7-2) beat the Oakland Raiders (4-5) 30-14 this afternoon in California for the team's fifth straight win. The Minnesota win, coupled with today's Green Bay Packers (6-3) 18-16 loss to the Detroit Lions (2-7), leaves the Vikings in sole possession of first place in the NFC North.

The Vikings will play the rest of the season with linebacker Audie Cole. Cole fractured his ankle against the Rams Sunday and was placed on Injured Reserve and will miss the rest of the season.
