The Minnesota Vikings (2-2) host the Kansas City Chiefs (1-4) this afternoon at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Vikings are coming off their Week 5 bye. Last week the Chiefs lost their all-pro running back Jamaal Charles to a season-ending knee injury. The game kicks off today at Noon.
One quarter of the way through the season, the Minnesota Vikings have a pair of wins & pair of losses -- and slip a bit in this week in ESPN's NFL Power Rankings, despite not playing Sunday due the bye week. Here's how this week's rankings stack up.

The Minnesota Vikings have acquired center Nick Easton from the San Francisco 49ers today in a trade that sends linebacker Gerald Hodges to the Niners. The Vikes also get San Francisco's sixth round pick in the 2016 draft.
The Minnesota Vikings (2-2) battled back, but ultimately came up just short, falling to the Denver Broncos (4-0) 23-20 yesterday afternoon in the Mile High City. Playing behind a patchwork offensive line, Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater was sacked seven times. The Vikings have a bye next week.
The Minnesota Vikings (2-1) and Denver Broncos (3-0) will face each other for the first time since 2003 in a game with both teams having winning records. According to Dick's Sporting Goods (soon to be moving into Waite Park's former Kmart location), Detroit Lion Calvin Johnson is the top-selling NFL jersey at the beginning of this year's NFL season in Minnesota (which calls for big WTF?). Cordarrelle Patterson held that spot one year ago.
Following the first week fiasco in San Francisco, the Minnesota Vikings were ranked 25th out of the 32 teams in ESPN's weekly NFL Power Rankings. And frankly, after watching the crap game against the 49ers I think that ranking was kind. They make a nice jump this week. Here's the digits.
