The Minnesota Wild continued their mid-season slump Tuesday with a disappointing 4-3 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks at Xcel Energy Center. The Wild are now 18-15-5 on the season and are now six points out of a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
The Wild erased a 2-0, second period deficit with a trio of goals from Ryan Carter, Justin Fontaine and Marco Scandella. Scandella's game winner was his ninth goal of the season, fifth-best among all NHL defensemen.
The Minnesota Wild are looking to snap a five game losing skid Monday night when they take on the Jets in Winnipeg. The Jets sent the Wild to their most recent defeat with a 4-3 overtime decision on Saturday night in St. Paul.

The Minnesota Wild lost 4-0 at home to the L.A. Kings Wednesday night. The Kings scored 4 first period goals. Darcy Kuemper allowed 4 goals with 6 saves before being lifted for Niklas Backstrom. Backstrom had 12 saves the rest of the way.
