As you might have heard, Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has been killed. While the news came as a surprise, Gaddafi’s death was actually predicted by the short-lived, late 80s’ sitcom ‘Second Chance‘ in an episode set in the far-flung future year of 2011. Creepy!

Former Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi, who’s been in hiding since August when a NATO-backed rebel force seized his headquarters in Tripoli, was killed on Thursday after rebels stormed his hometown of Sirte, where the last remnants of troops loyal to him were hiding. He was 69 years old.

According to media outlets, Libyan officials are announcing the death of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gadhafi by wounds suffered when an eight-month-old revolution effort overran his hometown of Sirte. “There was a lot of firing against his group and he died,” Abdel Majid Mlegta, a National Transitional Council official, told Reuters.
