Since its release in 1979, Pink Floyd's 'The Wall' has journeyed all over the world, playing to audiences during numerous tours (and even being turned into a movie). But through all its guises, the album's song cycle has remained essentially the same -- until recently, that is.
Nick Mason, the man behind the drum kit for Pink Floyd, has stepped in to save a favorite childhood haunt from closing its doors. Foote's is the music shop where Mason bought his very first drum kit, and now he, along with the store's sales director, Rob Wilson, are set to buy the business from the family who has owned it since the '30s.
Roger Waters waded into the world of foreign relations yesterday (Nov 29) when he addressed the United Nations. In a 25-minute speech, he spoke out against alleged violations of international law by Israel against the Palestinian people.

Pink Floyd has revealed the audio and video tracklist for the seven-disc “Immersion Edition” box set of their 1979 opus ‘The Wall.’ Much like last year’s tricked-out versions of ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ (reviewed here) and ‘Wish You Were Here,’ this set, which hits stores Feb. 28, also comes packed with goodies like photos, marbles and a scarf.
