Well, apparently there are things that last shorter than a Kardashian marriage, yet are every bit as contentious: stories about the Rolling Stones getting back together. Ron Wood is now claiming he was misquoted when he said last week the Stones were going back into the studio to “throw some ideas around.”
Although it has essentially been confirmed that legendary rock band the Rolling Stones will not be hitting the road in 2012, Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood recently confirmed that the group is slated to meet in the recording studio later this month
Rolling Stones fans may not get the 50th anniversary tour that they were hoping for in 2012, but they can take consolation in knowing that they will get a different – and cheaper – glimpse of the band through a new documentary. The film, which has no official title yet, will have its premiere at the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations in September and will be released through Eagle Rock Entertainment.
It’s often been said that the only two things that will survive a nuclear war are cockroaches and Keith Richards. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards is currently recovering from surgery. But before you get all worried about the legendary axeman and his health, realize that he underwent a relatively minor and routine procedure — having laser eye surgery to correct his deteriorating vision. At 68 years of age, Richards, now also a best-selling author, had been dealing with his vision breaking down for quite some time now.
There is a rumor currently circulating that I really hope comes true...reportedly Pink Floyd is going to reunite for the 2012 summer Olympics in London to perform. The source claims Roger Waters, Davis Gilmour, and Nick Mason are all on board.
