The St. Cloud State Huskies Men's Hockey team (15-14-1) completed the weekend sweep over fifth ranked Nebraska-Omaha (17-10-3) with a 2-0 win last night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center in St. Cloud. It was the first time Omaha had been swept this season.

It was a big night on the ice for the St. Cloud State Men (10-12-1, 5-7-1) at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center last night -- shutting out visiting Western Michigan (10-10-3, 3-7-3) 7-0. The shutout was SCSU's first of the year, and snapped a 2-game Husky losing streak.

The St. Cloud State men's hockey team is picked to finish 3rd in the NCHC preseason poll. St. Cloud State is the defending NCHC regular season champ. North Dakota is picked to win the conference title with 181 total points from the 25 media members who voted.
