Temperatures across Central Minnesota will remain 20-30 degrees below zero through the week -- before Mother Nature serves up another round of 'plowable' snow on Sunday and Monday.
More snow is on the way for Central Minnesota. The initial dose is coming today and tonight resulting in 3-6", with a second 2-4" shot arriving Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning in effect from 10 PM tonight through 10 AM Saturday for portions of Central & Northern Minnesota including Morrison, Mille Lacs, Todd, Douglas, and Kanabec Counties.
It's looking more likely that we will see plowable snow Friday night and Saturday across much of Central Minnesota. What looks to begin as rain late Friday is expected to change over to snow with to 3 or 4" of accumulation possible by Saturday morning.

Christmas hasn't been this cold in St. Cloud in 20 years -- and this year the temperatures will be more of the same all the way to the New Year. Maybe this time around a lump of coal or two wouldn't be the worst thing you could get in your stocking.
Good news for Christmas travelers as the National Weather Service is saying that some parts of Central Minnesota now might not see any snow at all this week -- although areas north of St. Cloud could still see a few inches Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm capable of producing significant snowfall will move out of the Rockies reaching us Wednesday through Friday -- followed by very cold air with below-zero or single digit highs.
