SCSU (1-2) rallied late, but came up short -- falling 21-20 to Southwest Minnesota State (3-0) at Husky Stadium.

The Minnesota Gophers (1-1) needed overtime to get the 23-20 win yesterday in Fort Collins, Colorado over Colorado State (1-1). St. Johns (2-0) rolled over visiting Buena Vista University (0-2) 56-7. The SCSU Huskies (1-1) came up short in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, falling to Augustana College (2-0) 41-27.

#13 St. John's (10-1) travels to Waverly, Iowa today for their second round NCAA Division III playoff game against #4 Wartburg College (11-0). The #22 Minnesota Gophers (8-3, 5-2) are on the road today, taking on the #14 Wisconsin Badgers (9-2, 6-1) in Madison.
