"Say there, friend, how'd you feel about letting me inject you with 300,000 volts of electricity while this guy takes pictures of it?"

That's how we imagine this whole "Taser Photoshoot" thing got started. Unless of course the person getting tased initiated it. You know, some people are into the whole pleasure-from-pain thing.

We'll never know, but one thing we do know is that the folks doing the tasing are some sadistic bastards. The photographer, Patrick Hall, described how the whole photo shoot went down:

Each person was tazed by their friend or significant other, which created an interesting dynamic in itself.  The emotions on both sides of the taser were extremely entertaining to watch.  The person getting tazed was almost always nervous and jittery with either a sense of fear or anxiety.  The participants doing the tazing had a different demeanor altogether.  Most of them were excited to cause pain to their friend and only showed remorse immediately after executing the shock.

(Emphasis added.)

We have to admit, we've got a few friends we wouldn't mind tasing. If you had any doubt about how much fun the people doing the tasing were having, watch this companion video and count the evil smiles:

One last thought: this is an outstanding application of slow-motion video. If you didn't know what was going on and only got to look at these folks' faces, would you have guessed that they're being tased? Or would you have wondered if they were having, shall we say, a private moment with themselves. For art, you see.
