Big Question here did The Amboy Dukes make their place in music because Ted Nugent was their lead guitarist/vocalist or did Ted Nugent make his mark because he was a member of the Amboy Dukes?

A very distinctive sound in the psychedelic/progressive hard rock genre with a pretty long run: 1964-1975, however; after Ted left to go solo the band faded into music history.

In 2000 they had a reunion (without Ted) produced an album but it never charted. The original Dukes performed together only once since 1975 and that was at the Detroit Music Awards in 2009.
