This is probably going to inspire you to have some lunch beers today, but as long as you keep it to like six or seven, you should be fine for the rest of the afternoon. The website Thrillist just put together a map of the U.S. that breaks down all 50 states by their most iconic beer.

To qualify, the beer has to be either headquartered or founded in the state, and has to be associated with the state. It's less focused on the microbreweries making the best tasting beer and more on the brands that are most famous.

In other words, the pick for Colorado is Coors, even though there are plenty of outstanding smaller beers there, and it's now owned by a European corporation.

There are also some states where, apparently, the favorite beer is "liquor." For Kentucky, the pick is Jim Beam, for Tennessee, it's Jack Daniel's, for Louisiana it's Southern Comfort, and for New Jersey, it's Jagermeister.
