Do you like The Doors? Do you have an iPad? There's an app for that.

The Doors are breaking on through to the 21st Century with a new interactive app for the iPad.

It launches today and will give you access to cartoons, pictures, concert footage, musings of current members, Hunter S. Thompson and Patti Smith, just to name a few. Plus, get this - FBI documents they gathered for intel on the band.

The app will only set you back $4.99 and early reviews on the app say that it offers "great depth" and insight into the band, and it also offers "sensitivity" into the history of such a great band and their music. Maybe that's because the app was created by Elektra Records and its founder Jak Holzman, who was responsible for signing the group in 1966.
