A band that formed in 1979, no doubt; The Fixx is a classic band from the 80's.

Often times classified with groups like The Psychedelic Furs, Flock Of Seagulls, The Police, you can even put The Thompson Twins in that group.

The band formed in 1979 with Cy Curnin and Adam Woods (college buds) and are from London, England.

Initially called The Portarits, then The Fix, The guys added  Rupert Greenall (keyboards),  Tony McGrail (guitar) and  Charlie Barret (bass). Soon Tony would leave the band and replaced with Jamie West-Oram (guitar) and through compromise with MCA Records they changed their name to The Fixx.

Like many bands from that era band members came and went.

In 1983 The Fixx released the album , "Reach The Beach" and produced a couple hits one being, "Saved By Zero" and the other, " One Thing Leads To Another". On the album Barret was replaced with the short lived Alfie Agius who was credited as co-writer on all the tracks even though the band was listed as a quartet.

Reach The Beach reached at # 8 on the US Charts, better than their native country UK where it just made to # 91.
