The Greatest Guitarist Of All Time Is ?

An apparent poll was taken recently by the readers of 'Guitar World' magazine and the greatest guitar player of all time is Eddie Van Halen.

You may agree or disagree and what shocked me was that Randy Rhoads wasn't even in the top 10 but that could have been due to fact he lived such a short life.

The magazine did what was similar to the battle of the bands by using an elimination format to knock-off the list of 132 with head -to - head comparisons.. Eventually it was narrowed down to 50 and I thought I'd share the top 15 based on the votes:
