You'll have to wait to race your lawnmower in Aitkin.

The Minnesota Redneck Festival planned for May 20-22 in Aitkin, MN has been postponed to sometime this fall.

The organizers didn't realize that the original date conflicted with the Officers Down 5K and Community Day, which will honor Aitkin County sheriff's deputy Steven M Sandberg, who was killed in October by the patient he was guarding at St Cloud Hospital.

What better way to kick off the summer festival season than to release your inner redneck at the Minnesota Redneck Festival?!

If "armpit serenades," lawnmower racing, and Mr and Mrs 'Merica contests sounds like a good time, you'll want to check it out.

Aitkin (about 20 minutes NE of Brainerd) was recently named Minnesota's #1 Redneck City by RoadSnacks, so this is the next logical step. How redneck is Aitkin?

The radio station (my first radio job!) is located in a red barn.

The celebration of everything 'Merican is May 20-22 will take place this fall. Here's hoping for a few of these:
