When it comes to 60s rock bands, it seems like every group lives the in the shadow of The Beatles. It’s understandable why. I mean, it’s The Beatles. It’s kind of hard to compete with that unless you’re Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd.

But despite being dominated by The Beatles, the 60s sported plenty of other cool rock groups that accumulated a fair degree of popularity back in the day. One such group was The Kinks.

These guys wrote some catchy tunes. Songs such as “Lola” and “You Really Got Me” (famously covered by Van Halen) helped define pop music in the 60s. Obviously, the band has long since disbanded, but you’ll still have the opportunity to catch of those legendary tunes live in concert.

The “Kinda Kinky: Kinks Tribute” wall originally taking place at the Le Musique Room in St. Michael on September 8th at 8 pm, but due to the injury of a band member the concert is being rescheduled for a later date. Tickets can still be purchased online for roughly $30 and any tickets that have already been purchased will still be honored.
