The Loon Morning Show Rundown: October 27th [AUDIO]
As heard on the October 27th show:
1. Jesse Had a Baby
Congratulations to the big guy on his little guy! Jesse & his wife welcomed baby Jaxton into the world last week and Mommy and Daddy haven't been getting much sleep.
2. Minnesota I.D. Problems
On Friday, Lucy went to the Target Center to see the Black Keys. She was denied the purchase of alcohol at the concessions stands there, because they refused to accept her paperwork. Yes. They refused the only I.D. the state of Minnesota provides new residents. Is that even lawful? Has this ever happened to you? Where?
3. Jesse's Hospital Stay
Jesse shares his hospital stay experience.
4. Could You Work in the Marijuana Industry?
There are medical marijuana programs in 23 states now and workers are in high demand. With the drug being illegal for so long, the industry is having trouble finding qualified people, so they've created a certification program. Would you pass the test?
5. Minnesota Company Makes 3-D Urns
A new Minnesota company is using 3-D printers to make custom urns like cars, ballet slippers or anything that was memorable to the deceased. Foreverance is the same company who created the urn shaped like Devo's signature hats for Bob Casale, who passed away earlier this year.
If you want to know more about 3-D printing, check out this documentary called "Print the Legend".
6. Facebook Launches Old School Chat Rooms
The new feature called "Rooms" is a lot like AOL's old chat rooms that were around in the 90's. The chat rooms allow for video and photo posting too, as part of the conversation. Project manager Josh Miller says, "We don't want this to be a place where you talk to friends." So... what?
7. Football Picks
8. Ray Rice Halloween Costumes
Is it offensive? YES. Wow. Really? Please don't do this. There's nothing funny about domestic abuse. Whoever dressed up their kid with the doll should feel ashamed. REALLY?!? REALLY???????
