‘The Move’ Transforms To The Electric Light Orchestra, The Series (Part Six) [VIDEO]
The title track from the Move’s last album, 'Message from the Country' (1971) is a slice of psychedelia that could’ve come from The Beatles 11th album 'Abbey Road' sessions.
Jeff Lynne was tracking ELO’s debut at the very same time all this was going on. Jeff Lynne was getting antsy to get this new project under way.
At this point Jeff Lynne’s finesse as an arranger and producer is truly coming into its own.
The vocal harmonies may recall the Beatles, but an angelic choir hoisted the vocal arrangement. One could say of the song it featured great balance, agility, and motor coordination.
Similar vocal flourishes would be heard, soon enough, on ELO's debut album 'A New World Record.'
