About three weeks ago, I went out with some friends to the Olde Brick House and our waiter had recommended to us to try this raspberry tasting beer. And I was like 'what the hell, I'll give it a try' and after one sip of the stuff I was hooked! The sucky part in all of this was that I could not for the life of me remember what he said that it was called.

So after three weeks of trying to rewind my mind to remember, when my parents stopped by to visit I took them to Olde Brick House because 1) They had never been before and everyone should know of this place and 2) I needed to find out what the hell this beer was called. Thankfully our waiter for the night, Jake, was able to help me finally solve the mystery of the raspberry beer.

Its called 'Rubaeus' and it's a all-year round beer (Sweet Jim Morrison yes!!) and it's created by Founders Brewing Co. out of Grand Rapids, MI. On there website they describe it as:

Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries, Rubaeus is Founders’ way of celebrating the joys of summer year-round. This stunning berry-red masterpiece is the perfect blend of sweet, tart and refreshing. No question about it, this beer is 100% Founders. - Founders Brewing Co.

Sadly Jake wasn't able to inform me if it was sold anywhere in Minnesota, but that's what the trusty ole' google-machine is for and I'm very pleased to inform that they DO SELL IT in certain places throughout Central Minnesota. No I haven't boughten any of it yet, but I will be after I get done on-air today! Cheers Loonatics!
