The Rolling Stones paid tribute to the writer of their first number one song.
Soul legend Bobby Womack died over the weekend, and the Rolling Stones have him to thank for their first number one song, It’s All Over Now.

The group was in Belgium on Saturday and Mick Jagger said they learned about Bobby’s passing earlier in the day. They posted a message on their website acknowledging Bobby and said he had, “a huge influence” on the group. They praised him as being a “pioneer” of soul and R&B, but mostly he will be remembered as a friend.
