ST. CLOUD — We have another full weekend of fun for you to enjoy around Central Minnesota this weekend. You can watch some youth hockey out at Lake George with the Granite City Pond Hockey championships, music from a Minneapolis indie rock bad Bad Bad Hats, a family fun night at Pleasantview Elementary, musical violins performed by Phantasm at St. Mary's Cathedral and the Night of the Round table concert series at Pioneer Place.     Granite City Pond Hockey Tournament

    Lake George

    Enjoy one of the most exciting outdoor winter sports taking place in St. Cloud this weekend. The Minnesota Youth Foundation is hosting their annual Granite City Pond Hockey Championship tomorrow (Friday) through Sunday. The event is meant as a winter festival including a variety of activities the whole community will enjoy. The proceeds raised will be used to enhance area youth programs. The event is free to watch.

    Bad Bad Hats

    Paramount Theatre

    An indie rock back from Minneapolis will be bringing their talents to Central Minnesota this weekend. Bad Bad Hats will be performing on the Paramount Theatre stage tomorrow (Friday).  Kerry Alexander, Chris Hoge, and Noah Boswell met while attending Macalester College in Saint Paul. The group is inspired by popular female songwriters of the 90s, notably Alanis Morissette, and developed a unique songwriting style of their own. Tickets for the show run between $5 to $14. Showtime starts at 7:30 p.m.

    Cabin Fever Family Fun Night

    Pleasantview Elementary School

    After being confined to your home all winter long, grab your kids for a night of family fun in Sauk Rapids. Pleasantview Elementary is hosting their Cabin Fever Family Fun Night tomorrow (Friday). The night include several games such as bingo, crafts, bowling, archery, cakewalk and more. Don't worry about dinner either as pizza, cookies and drink will be available for purchase, with the proceeds going to the Pleasantview PTAC. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. and runs until 8:00 p.m. It's free to attend.

    Phantasm

    St. Mary's Cathedral

    The sounds of violins will echo through St. Mary's Cathedral this weekend with the music from Phantasm. This an award-winning group was founded in 1994 and has become recognized as the most exciting viol consort active on the world scene today. The group has traveled the world over, performing in festivals and on concert series in cities such as Prague, Tokyo, Istanbul and Washington DC and will be making a stop in St. Cloud. The performance will take place on Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $5 for students.

    Night of the Round Table

    Pioneer Place

    A popular musical series is making it's way back to the Veranda Lounge starting tonight (Thursday). The Night of the Round Table, is a series of intimate concerts series held monthly and features a variety of Americanna musicians performing great music and stories. This months show features three local legends Charlie Roth, Roger Fink and Michael Shynes performing around a single microphone. The event is free to attend and the music starts at 8:00 p.m.
