It's three state highways that gets a speed limit bump from 55 to 60 in Minnesota.

The full length of Hwy 75, that Hwy stretches from the Southern corner of the state all the way up to the Canadian border.

The second hwy that gets get the speed increase is most of Hwy 59 as you enter Worthington and stretches to the Canadian border as well.

The next stretch is only 14 miles on Hwy 7 and this section is between Hwy 75 and Hwy 59.

In total we're talking roughly 730 miles of highway that was effected in the state. The study was based on the design of the roads and the speed of travelers. Don't expect any more increases in speed limits across the state as MNDOT doesn't appear interested.

I kind of feel sorry for the guy who may have gotten a ticket the day before the change.
