Timberwolves Start Training Camp Today
The Timberwolves begin training camp at Minnesota State-Mankato inside the Taylor Center today. The Wolves have many new faces this season including guards Brandon Roy and Chase Budinger and forward Andrei Kirilenko. The Wolves return a nucleus of forward Kevin Love, point guard Ricky Rubio and center Nikola Pekovic.
Rubio won’t be able to play for the Wolves until December at the earliest as he continues to recover from major knee surgery. The Wolves have high hopes in 2012-2013 with head coach Rick Adelman in his 2nd season. The Wolves were a 500 team when Rubio sustained a torn ACL ending his season. The Wolves fell out of playoff contention following the injury.
The Wolves open the preseason schedule against Indian on October 10 at 7pm. The Wolves begin the regular season November 2 at home against Sacramento.
