The Minnesota Timberwolves (12-42) defeated the visiting Phoenix Suns (29-26) 111-109 tonight at the Target Center in Minneapolis. In their first game following the All-Star break, the Wolves were led by Kevin Martin with 28 points. Andrew Wiggins added another 20.

Gorgui Dieng came off the bench to lead Minnesota in rebounds with twelve. Ricky Rubio had a team-leading 14 assists. Dieng and Nikola Pekovic each has two blocks.

Newly acquired Kevin Garnett is expected to see his first action with the team in Minnesota's next game, when the Timberwolves face the Rockets Monday night in Houston.
