  • After much speculation and rumors flying - Elton John will NOT be performing at President Elect Donald Trump's inauguration in January. This is the second band and or artist who has backed out of playing at the ceremony next year - the first was Motley Crue.
  • Alan White, drummer of Yes, just gave Yes fans a glimmer of hope for new music. White said chances are pretty good that there are still more recordings to come from the band. Yes’ last LP was released in 2014 called Heaven and Earth.
  • In honor of 50 years, the Grateful Dead are coming out with a new album reissue series! Starting on January 20th, when The Grateful Dead: 50th Anniversary Deluxe Edition arrives, the band’s studio and live albums will be released as special editions around the time of their anniversary dates.
  • Over the weekend, Queen‘s Brian May broke the news that late frontman Freddie Mercury’s mother Jer died at the age of 94. May himself has been dealing with his own health issues. Last month, he canceled all of his remaining public appearances for 2016 due an unnamed but “persistent illness”.
