  • Mark David Chapman, who shot John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980, has been denied parole for the ninth time. He is currently serving 20 to life in prison.
  • Bruce Springsteen has broken his longest concert in the US record – twice. The first time, he played for three hours and 52 minutes on August 23rd in New Jersey. He then broke his record again playing two days later, playing for four hours even.
