Tom Petty Hates Social Media

Tom Petty is not a fan of social networking, but you'll never guess how he told everyone he hates it. 

That's right. Tom Petty used social media to tell the world he hates social media.

According to Billboard.com, Tom used a Twitter chat Thursday to talk about headlining the New Orleans Jazz Festival and his other plans for 2012, but he said that he was finding the process, "very frustrating" because there "wasn't enough space" to answer questions that required a longer answer. He also went on to say that social media is, "the end of the world" and that people are too consumed with their own lives and that "their every breath is so important".

In his address to fans, he mentioned that it was too soon to tell what his next move was going to be in regards to a new album, but did hint that an extended remix of Wildflowers could be coming soon.
