The Rolling Stones are one of classic rock's hardest working, most prolific and most successful bands to date. They have been in business since 1962, and still sell out concerts within minutes.

Rolling Stones early history: In April of 1962 childhood buds Mick Jagger and Keith Richards formed a band they called The Rollin' Stones, along with Brian Jones, Ian Stewart, Tony Chapman and Dick Taylor.

The Rolling Stones didn't have  "overnight success"  but  two years after they formed, they had two hit singles and a debut album that reached #1.

Their recording career began covering well known blues songs. The second album had Keith Richards and Mick Jagger writing original songs.

The '70s would prove to be Richards and Jagger becoming deeply immersed in the prototypical sex-drugs-rock 'n roll lifestyle.

After celebrating their 50th anniversary the possibilities are endless with the band and show no sign of letting up. Long live rock!
