Tornado Watch Issued For Central Minnesota

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch in effect until 10:00 tonight for the western half of Central Minnesota including St. Cloud, Willmar, Alexandria, and Morris. Stay tuned to 103.7 FM for possible warnings.

In Minnesota, the Tornado Watch includes these counties: Big Stone, Chippewa, Douglas, Grant, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Meeker, Pope, Redwood, Renville, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, and Yellow Medicine.

According to the National Weather Service, large hail and damaging winds will be the primary threat from tonight's storms, but the possibility of a few tornadoes cannot be ruled out.
