Twins Avoid Arbitration With Casilla

The Twins avoided salary arbitration with 2nd baseman Alexi Casilla by agreeing to a 1-year contract worth $1.382 Million.  Casilla hit .260 with 2 homeruns and 21 RBIs in 97 games playing 2nd base and shortstop for the Twins in 2011.

Casilla is expected to be the starting 2nd baseman for the Twins in 2012.
