Twins Overwhelmed By Athletics In Wednesday Rout

The Twins lost to the Oakland Athletics by a final score of 18-3 last night at Target Field.

Starting pitcher Mike Pelfrey saw his ERA jump to 5.32 from 4.95 at the beginning of the night after allowing seven runs in three innings of work.

The majority of the damage done by the A’s occurred in the top of the fourth inning, when they put up 10 runs.

Minnesota and Oakland will wrap up a three game series this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 12:10 (WJON).
