The Twins lost to the Royals 4-3 Wednesday night at Target Field. The Royals have now won eight straight games and remain eight games out of first place. First place Detroit has won five straight, and second place Cleveland has won seven in a row.

Minnesota trailed 2-0 heading into the fifth inning when a Pedro Florimon home run cut the deficit to 2-1. Chris Hermann drew a bases loaded walk to tie the game at two in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Royals scored the deciding runs in the top of the seventh inning off of Caleb Thielbar, although both were unearned due to an error by Florimon.

Minnesota finished the game just 3-17 with runners in scoring position and left 11 runners on base. The Twins and Royals will finish their three game series Thursday at Target Field.
