The Twins thumped the White Sox 11-4 Wednesday night at Target Field. The win improves Minnesota to 61-78 on the season.

Trevor May had his first successful start for the Twins since being called up from triple-A Rochester, lasting five innings while allowing three runs on six hits and one walk with six strikeouts.

The Twins pounded out 19 hits in the win, with Eduardo Nunez pacing the offense with four hits to go with two runs scored and two runs batted in. Danny Santana, Kennys Vargas, Josmil Pinto and Eduardo Escobar also had multi-hit games Minnesota.

The Twins host the Angels on Thursday night at Target Field. Kyle Gibson (11-10) will start for Minnesota against the Angels Hector Santiago (4-7).
