The Twins rallied late and beat the Oakland A’s 6-1 Sunday afternoon to salvage their four game series in Oakland.

Danny Santana had another strong game in the leadoff spot for the Twins, going 3-5 with a pair of runs scored. The rookie is now batting .315 on the season.

Brian Dozier hit his 20th home run of the season with one out in the first inning to give the Twins an early lead, and Josh Willingham hit his 12th of the season in the eighth inning.

Phil Hughes earned his 12th win of the season after allowing one run on four hits and one walk in seven innings pitched. Hughes also struck out seven A’s in the win.

Minnesota is 52-64 on the season with a series at Houston beginning on Monday. Tommy Millone (6-3) will make his Twins debut against the Astros Brad Peacock.
