Twins starter Scott Diamond had one of his best starts of the season last night, pitching into the seventh inning, allowing just one run on five hits. Minnesota right fielder Chris Colabello homered for the first time in his career in the 13th inning, giving the Twins the 3-2 win.

Seattle starter Felix Hernandez had a shutout going into the ninth, before it was ruined by a Pedro Florimon single, advancing to second on a sacrifice bunt, and scoring on a single by Trevor Plouffe.

That ended 32 1/3 scoreless innings against the Twins for Hernandez.

Twins catcher Joe Mauer remains in Minnesota with his wife and newborn Twins. He will rejoin the team on Tuesday at Target Field against the Royals.

The Twins and Mariners will play game-3 of the four game series this afternoon in Seattle.
