MINNEAPOLIS - After going down 3-0 early, the Minnesota Twins came from behind to beat the Kansas City Royals in 10 innings.

The Twins entered the 9th inning down 3-1 when catcher Jason Castro hit a one out single. With one on and one out Minnesota sent pinch-hitter Kennys Vargas to the plate. Cargas connected with a pitch and tied the game at 3-3 with one swing.

In the bottom of the 10th the Twins drew three straight walks to load the bases for Jorge Polanco. Polanco hit a sac fly and Mauer scored from 3rd to earn the Twins the come from behind extra innings win.

Minnesota and Kansas City play again today at 1:10 p.m.
