LITCHFIELD -- Two city workers are hurt after being struck by a semi while working on a stoplight.

The incident happened shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Sibley Avenue, near 3rd Street, in Litchfield.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 40-year-old Michael Grabow of Litchfield and 54-year-old Randy Groskreutz of Hutchinson were in a telescope bucket, attached to a parked boom truck, working on the stoplight over Sibley Avenue when they were struck by the top of a semi going under the stoplight.

The two men were thrown from the bucket and landed on top of the semi. Both of them were taken to Litchfield Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the semi, 77-year-old Lanny Larue of Atkinson, Nebraska was not hurt.
