ST. CLOUD - For 20 seasons a St. Cloud family has been hosting St. Cloud Rox and River Bats players to live with them.

The last 20 summers the Bauer family has opened up their home to many ball players. Denise and Mark Bauer says it's like adding a new member to their family every year.

"We love having the ball players around. We started when we had three kids so it was a houseful back then. Now our kids are out of the house but it's like we get a new son every summer."

This season California native and Brigham Young University baseball player Daniel Schneemunn. is staying with the Bauers. He says the family and city have been great to him since he arrived.

"They are just like another pair of parents and I get to know them more and more everyday. They are real nice people and I get to spend a lot of time around them. They come to every game and support us."

The family has hosted many different players throughout the years. Some have gone on to play professional baseball either in the majors, minors or even overseas.

One of the most notable players to stay with them is former Milwaukee Brewer Casey Mcgehee. Mark Bauer says Mcgehee once let the family know their impact on him wasn't unnoticed.

"First time we go to go meet our major leaguer was when Casey was playing for Milwaukee. He was in town playing the Twins and we got to go to the game. He made the statement that the summer he spent in St. Cloud was one of the best of his life."

Though the family doesn't know if they will make it another 20 seasons. They say they love every summer with the boys they consider their sons.
