I was so disappointed when I heard that we may not see another U2 record in this decade, so imagine my jubilation when I got this news.

Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen were spotted out and about in the Big Apple earlier this week. What were they doing there, you may wonder. Well, rumor has it they were working on their next album.

According to a report on their official website, the band is at the iconic Electric Lady Studios doing some recording and work on their follow up to No Line On The Horizon, which came out in 2009. Legendary producer Danger Mouse was also in the house, as was Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, but no one is saying if he's there to help out or if he's just there to hang out.

The as yet untitled work is U2's 13th studio album and from a true fan's perspective, they just keep getting better and better. Their next album is always better than their last, so I can't wait to hear what they have in store for us.
