The Vikings have only been at training camp for just more than a week and the 3 rookie first round picks for the Vikings are generating quite a buzz.  Defensive tackle Sharif Floyd isn't expected to play alongside veteran Kevin Williams but by all accounts will push Williams for playing time.

Cornerback Xavier Rhodes was drafted to defend the likes of Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall and Jordy Nelson and so far he's looking like the team's #1 corner. The Vikings like the combination of size and speed that Rhodes brings.

Receiver Cordarelle Patterson is wowing fans and the team with his play making ability.  Patterson is running as the 4th receiver but will be used on kickoffs and in certain packages to start the season.  Patterson may be eased into playing time while playing behind Jerome Simpson.  Simpson will need to play well and remain healthy or lose playing time to the rookie.

Another player expected to receive lots of looks in the passing game this season is tight end Kyle Rudolph.  Rudolph failed to crack 500 yards receiving in 2012 but his 9 touchdowns and his connection with quarterback Christian Ponder make Viking fans optimistic that his numbers can only improve in 2013.
