Vikings Football Is Here, First Preseason Game Tonight

Getty Images

Are you ready for some football? Hard to believe, but the Minnesota Vikings play their first preseason game tonight against the Oakland Raiders at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota campus in Minneapolis at 7 PM (KARE-11).

Tonight we’ll get our first look at the Mike Zimmer era team. Matt Cassel will start at QB, but Teddy Bridgewater will see action with the first-team offense.

After eleven practices in Mankato, the Vikings players are anxious to hit someone wearing colors other than their own. Black and silver should work just fine.

The Vikings open the regular season on September 7th in St. Louis.  Skol!
